I know that almost every blogger practically lives for this sale so they can tell you to buy everything in hopes that you’ll click all their links…however, I wanted to do a real post about what (in my opinion), is actually worth buying from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Full disclosure: yes, there are affiliate links in this post, but I promise to tell you what you’re clicking on in case you want to google it instead of giving me a commission, LOL. My goal is for this post to be truly useful, instead of just another OMG NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE 2016 YOU MUST BUY IT ALL post (because as much as I love Nordstrom, truthfully, I don’t think it’s all worth buying)…
I can’t believe how fast the time has gone. A year ago today, Tommy and I were getting married in Paris with our families, and it was better than any wedding I could have imagined! I thought this would be a perfect excuse to share some of our wedding photos and details, since I hadn’t shared them on the blog yet.
I love a good jumpsuit, but especially when it comes in a gorgeous olive tone. If you haven’t tried jumpsuits yes, you’re missing out. They are so comfortable and easy to style, can be dressed up or down, and they can be incredibly flattering. I like the idea of having elastic at the bottom like mine from HauteShoppe does, because this makes it easy to work with for all heights (if you’re shorter, you can simply roll up the hem, or scrunch it up depending on the look you want). The elastic waistband accents the figure, and the jumpsuit creates the perfect hourglass shape.
Between a vacation to Canada and a busy work week, my blog was put on hold for a bit. Life gets busy! I shopped a decent amount the last couple months, and most of it was done at Goodwill. I ended up buying quite a bit more than what is shown in this post, but lots of it is going to friends or family (I’ve already started my Christmas shopping LOL)! I’ve actually started to post my Goodwill finds on Snapchat, so you can follow me at @morgan.415 to get an early peek at my designer thrift finds, and see what I bought to share as well.
Spring in Texas means there’s one thing you’ll start seeing on the side of every road you drive on: Bluebonnets. We missed out on getting pictures in the fields of flowers last year, so this time we made a trip down to Waco, and took the back-roads in hopes of seeing some blue. We found a great spot off the road to pull off and take some pictures of the blue and orange flowers
I admit, I’m addicted to coats and boots; pretty much any cool-weather clothing, really. I feel instantly put together when I wear a good coat, and I tend to go for classic pieces over trendy ones. As I talked about in my last post, I had been seeing this Theory coat on a couple of my favorite bloggers for over a year, and I was always keeping my eye out for it to come at a low price.
