I can’t believe how fast the time has gone. A year ago today, Tommy and I were getting married in Paris with our families, and it was better than any wedding I could have imagined! I thought this would be a perfect excuse to share some of our wedding photos and details, since I hadn’t shared them on the blog yet.
Spring in Texas means there’s one thing you’ll start seeing on the side of every road you drive on: Bluebonnets. We missed out on getting pictures in the fields of flowers last year, so this time we made a trip down to Waco, and took the back-roads in hopes of seeing some blue. We found a great spot off the road to pull off and take some pictures of the blue and orange flowers
This is probably going to be one of my most useful posts EVER. I’ll start by stating the obvious about me: I don’t like paying retail. If I could walk into Neiman Marcus and try on every shoe and buy anything I wanted, this post probably wouldn’t exist. However, I prefer to score 90% off deals, and a lot of it is done online, which means that not everything I get will be perfect. I have rounded up all of my tips and tricks on how I make my items work on a budget
A couple weekends ago, Tommy and I headed out to San Francisco for a last-minute trip to see his family. Unfortunately the reason’s weren’t the best, as his grandfather isn’t doing very well right now. We got to spent time with his aunt and uncles who live in the area, and see his grandparents, so it was a really special trip.
I’ve talked about it before on Instagram, but if you don’t already know, I work as an engineer at a nuclear power plant. Oh, and no I don’t actually glow in the dark, ha. While I love pretty clothes and shoes, most of my everyday “accessories” consist of a hard hat, safety glasses, and some pretty cute (ok, not cute at all) steel toe shoes.
If you do indeed come across the yellow brick wall on Rosedale St. in Fort Worth, you must stop. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a good ice cream cone, and the one I had from Melt Ice Creams is now a top 5 favorite. They only have a handful of flavors, but the day we went, they also had two vegan flavors! I’m by no means vegan (gimme that meat), but to be able to enjoy ice cream without having to take a Lactaid pill is magnificent,
This past weekend, Tommy and I got to spend a couple days in the Florida Keys with some of my family! Tommy had a conference last week in Hollywood, FL, so I took the opportunity to meet him there on Thursday, and we drove down to Marathon to stay with my aunt, uncle, and cousins. We had a BLAST!
