Living in a small town can have its perks (like avoiding the city traffic), and one that we take advantage of every year is the Christmas lights in the park. I drive through the Granbury town square every morning before the sun comes up, and for the month of December, my drive gets a little brighter as I drive by the lights and decorations that are set up!
A couple weekends ago, Tommy and I headed out to San Francisco for a last-minute trip to see his family. Unfortunately the reason’s weren’t the best, as his grandfather isn’t doing very well right now. We got to spent time with his aunt and uncles who live in the area, and see his grandparents, so it was a really special trip.
Thanks to DFW restaurant week, Tommy and I went out to a nice dinner TWICE in one weekend (omg crazy, I know). The second night was a little more casual, so I decided on ripped jeans and pumps with a statement bag. The jeans are a Nordstrom Rack find from a few months ago (only $34), and I love how distressed they are. I usually wear a 27 in jeans, but these are a 24 and fit me, so I’m thinking that is why they ended up at NR for so cheap. I’ve seen it happen a few times before, so I tend to scan all the sizes and try everything on that I like, just in case. Both the top and shoes came from Poshmark; oh, and to answer the title: $150.
I usually don’t wear colors this bright, but this orange Vince dress is one of my exceptions. A simple shift dress is appropriate for so many different occasions, which is why I love them so much. I brought out my wedding shoes to wear with the dress for a special dinner date with Tommy (an early celebration of 5 years of being together today…crap that’s a long time)!
